Mildenhall Speedway – proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery – have announced that the final regular National Development League [NDL] meeting at West Row on Sunday September 4th. will now be a ‘double header’. Current NDL table toppers Berwick Bullets are the first opponents of the afternoon and that will be followed, in a 30 heat extravaganza, by the rearranged match against Plymouth Centurions.

It’s a double fixture which really emphasises just how ‘National’ the NDL is – surely there can’t be two teams that are based further away from each other than the Bullets from Borders town and the Centurions from the Devon city!

With five matches to go (away at Kent this Sunday, 21/8 and Oxford away next Wednesday, 24/8 & then home the following Sunday, 28/8) and then the double header, qualification for the Play Offs which will decide the destiny of the NDL title (won of course by the Fen Tigers last term) is still in Mildenhall’s hands.  Fans will be hoping that the visit of Berwick & Plymouth can end up being an afternoon when that all important top four berth can be booked to go along with the Knock Out Cup Final the Fen Tigers are already looking forward to.
