Following the news that ever popular Mildenhall Fen Tiger Sam Bebee could be facing some considerable time on the sidelines following a freak accident last weekend the Suffolk side have moved swiftly to bring in Bebee’s team mate from last season, Matt Marson subject to BSPA approval.

Marson who was unlucky to miss out on a place in the National League for the start of this season will join his new team mates on the 29th April, until which time the Fen Tigers will operate rider replacement.

Bebee who was left nursing back and rib injuries after the fall is now back home and recovering but at this early stage it is difficult to fully assess when he will return.

Fen Tigers General Manager Phil Kirk said “Sam’s injury was a massive down on what had been an excellent weekend for the club and we are pleased to hear he is now back home with his family. If ever a rider deserves some good fortune it is Sam. On hearing the prognosis, we have quickly assessed our options on who could cover Sam’s absence and it was clear Matt was by far the best available for the club moving forward.

After a couple of calls with Matt’s father everything was in place and we look forwar  to seeing Matt in the next fortnight. Subject to BSPA approval he should make his first appearance against Plymouth on Sunday 5th May. The club would like to thank Matt’s family for helping make the arrangements as smooth as possible and ensuring Matt will be with us at the earliest opportunity”
