The Mildenhall Fen Tigers, proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery, know it’s a case of now or never this Sunday when they look to overturn a twenty one point deficit to claim a place in the semi final of this seasons KO Cup.
The first leg proved to be a long and difficult afternoon for the Fen Tigers after losing David Wallinger in his opening ride following a collision on the first bend with Leicester Cubs Jamie Halder. Wallinger was able to return against Kent last Sunday where he scored an excellent eleven points, Halder though remains on the sidelines and the Cubs will cover his absence with rider replacement.
Leicester will provide strong opposition led by Danyon Hume and Ellis Perks plus ex Fen Tiger Luke Ruddick but Fen Tigers Team Manager Malcolm Vasey is convinced his team are ready to roar, he said “Although having plenty of points to make up, we are most certainly still in this tie. We need a fast start to create pressure from the off and cannot make the mistakes we made last weekend that cost us a number of points.
The lads are desperate to make the semi-final, and we would have to fancy our chances against either Plymouth or Stoke. But that is for the future, we must stay focused on the job in hand and with our fine home support backing us all the way I have a strong feeling we can achieve our aim”
