The Mildenhall Fen Tigers proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery head to Stoke this Saturday evening (7pm) with National League points on offer as they look to recover from their last league meeting that saw three Fen Tigers withdrawn from the meeting.

In an attempt to get their season on track the Fen Tigers have made two changes to their line up with David Wallinger and Macauley Leek making way for Henry Atkins and Arran Butcher. Both riders will make their debuts on Saturday, but Danny Ayres and Charlie Brooks will be missing. Ayres will be with his Championship side Scunthorpe whilst Brooks remains on the sidelines but is hopeful of returning for the home fixture versus Thurrock. The Fen Tigers management have once again turned to Max Clegg to guest in Ayres absence and will be looking for a similar performance to the last time Clegg wore the Fen Tigers race jacket, a seventeen point return in the victory at Plymouth.

Stoke feature Luke Priest and Connor Coles who are both well known to Mildenhall supporters plus Tom Perry is at number one.

Team Manager Malcolm Vasey is looking for the team to push on now after a difficult period, he said “We had a meeting to forget against Cradley losing three riders, but with a blank weekend it has given the lads chance to recover and regroup. Danny and Charlie will be big misses for us at Stoke, but the club owners could have done no more than bring in Max Clegg as his Danny Ayres replacement. R/R for the fifth average rider in your side (Brooks) is never easy but we will deal with the situation and look for a fast start to put Stoke on the back foot.

We welcome in Henry and Arran and hopefully they will give the side a big lift and score those points to turn near misses into away victories”
