Following today’s second NL AGM the Mildenhall Fen Tigers, proudly sponsored by Manchetts Rescue and Recovery, are pleased to be able to confirm that they will take their place in the 2020 National League.

The league will feature seven clubs, with Armadale, Belle Vue, Kent, Isle of Wight, Leicester and Plymouth joining the Fen Tigers. As in previous seasons there will be Play Offs to decide the National League Champions. There will also be the KO Cup competition featuring Fen Tigers, Isle of Wight, Leicester and Plymouth, with the Fen Tigers drawing Plymouth in the semi-finals, and the National Trophy that will feature the Fen Tigers, Isle of Wight and Plymouth.

Mildenhall will also hold two major individual events this coming season, firstly one of the British U21 Semi Finals will take place at Mildenhall Stadium and also later in the season the National League Riders Championship.

Speaking after the meeting today, Mildenhall promoter Greg Palmer said “It has been a little bit of a worrying time following the initial AGM, but thankfully all teams were able to confirm today that they were running and we can now look forward to an exciting 2020.

I am very pleased that we have been able to have secured two important individual meetings at Mildenhall which can only help raise our profile, and as well we are working on a special meeting to open our 2020 season which if we can make it happen will, I am sure, excite our supporters. The team is all but complete and hopefully we can announce our line up later this week so supporters won’t have to wait over the Christmas period.

The New Year will be a busy time for us as we are looking to run, weather permitting, six practice days through January and February, plus a Quiz night and fans forum. We are just sorting out a couple of things with the practice days but they should start in January, as soon as we have firm date’s we will make an announcement. As always we will look to keep our fans up to date with all that is happening at the club, and hopefully this is a nice early Christmas present for everyone”
