fter nine incredibly successful years, mostly on his own at the helm of Mildenhall Speedway, Kevin Jolly has decided to step away from the club ahead of the coming season.

Still holding his promoters licence and with years of experience and knowledge, Kevin along with his wife Gill retained an interest in the club in 2019 as they helped and guided the new management team through their first season.

During his time at the club, the Fen Tigers won the Grand Slam of all five trophies in 2012 plus four other trophies as well as producing one of the finest teams the National League has ever seen in 2018. Kevin’s legacy though goes much deeper than that, a passionate man who loved nothing more than to see young riders develop and fulfil their potential the list of talented riders who benefited from his support and guidance include Cameron Heeps, Lewis Blackbird, Joe Jacobs, Stefan Nielsen, Josh Bates, Connor Mountain, Jordan Jenkins, Drew Kemp and Danny Ayres to name just a few.

Speaking on behalf of Mildenhall Speedway, Phil Kirk said “It has been an absolute pleasure to work for and with Kevin, his passion for the sport is second to none and we have all learned a great deal from him. We have had some wonderful times, many laughs and some difficult times but Kevin has always kept going and pushing on when many would have walked away. His love for Mildenhall Speedway is unquestionable. As a lifelong fan I have to say he is, for me, the club’s finest promoter and leaves behind a legacy that will never be surpassed.

I am sure all supporters will join with us in wishing Kevin and Gill a happy and healthy future away from Mildenhall, and hopefully when time allows they will come back and see us, they will always be very welcome”
